Micron Grade Definition

Micron Grade in the cannabis world often refers to the size of mesh (microns/µ) on bubble bags used when collecting trichomes (small hairs/cannabinoids of the cannabis plant) during the process of making bubble hash. A micron is a unit of scale with 1µ equaling one millionth of a meter. Bubble hash is made using several Micron Grades to achieve a very fine and THC-rich solution, which is then processed further to make the bubble hash. These Micron Grades often increase incrementally (for example, first layer=25 micron, second layer=73 micron, third layer=120 micron, etc.). Several other grades exist depending on the type of cannabis used and the level of crystal size desired for extraction.
